The Department of Revenue provides this look-up tool using tax rates and legal jurisdiction information received from the various counties and municipalities in the State. Both the rates and jurisdictions are updated periodically as new information is provided to the Department. Invariably, legal boundaries and police jurisdictions change, and taxpayers are not protected from local audits by using the taxing jurisdictions shown by the look-up tool for a particular physical address. Although the Department provides the most accurate and up-to-date jurisdiction information available, if you are uncertain about whether your business or delivery location is within the taxing jurisdiction of a particular county, municipality, or municipal police jurisdiction, please contact local officials for confirmation.
